Goes with your card
WhatsApp QR codes
In most of the world a business relationship starts on WhatsApp, not email. A code that opens the chat removes the only awkward step, which is one person reading digits aloud while the other types.
Nobody wants to dictate a number
Exchanging a WhatsApp number in person means saying it, hearing it back, correcting one digit, then waiting while they save it before they can even message you. It is thirty seconds of friction at the exact moment the conversation was going well.
Straight into the chat
Scanning opens WhatsApp with a conversation to your number already started. You can set the opening message too, so what lands in your inbox says something useful such as the event you were both at, rather than a bare "hi" from a number you do not recognise.
What changes for your business
Not what it is. What is different once people are using it.
The first message is theirs, so the reply is yours to make
A code that starts the chat means they message you. You now have their number, in a thread, with context, instead of a promise to be in touch.
Your number can change
Switch to a business line, or move countries, and you edit the number here. Every card and sticker already printed opens a chat with the new one.
You can tell which code is doing the work
Make one for the card and another for the shop window, and the scan counts tell you which of the two is worth keeping.
Where it sits on the card
On the back of the card, beside your name, or on anything sitting between you and a customer: a counter sign, a menu holder, a van door.
Questions people ask
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No. It works with any WhatsApp account. A Business account gives you a catalogue and away messages, which some people want, but the code does not depend on it.
Can I set what the first message says?
Yes. You write the opening text and it appears already typed in their chat window, ready to send. They can edit it before sending.
What if someone scans it without WhatsApp installed?
WhatsApp’s own link opens in a browser and offers to install the app. There is nothing to configure for that case.
