SMS QR codes

Text still reaches people who will not install anything, will not email and will not call. A code that writes the message removes the only part they have to do.

The easiest channel still has a typing step

Texting you means reading a number, opening messages, typing it in, then working out what to say to a stranger. Each of those is small, and together they are enough for someone to decide to do it later and never do it.

Composed, addressed, one press from sent

Scanning opens the phone’s messaging app with your number filled in and the text already written. They press send. What arrives is a message you can act on rather than a bare "hi".

What changes for your business

Not what it is. What is different once people are using it.

You get a reply rather than an intention

Because they only have to press send, the people who meant to contact you largely do, and you have their number in a thread.

The wording does the qualifying

Set the message to say what it is about, such as a quote request or a booking, and what reaches you is already sorted by why they wrote.

It works where nothing else does

No app, no data connection needed to send, no account. On a poster or a van, it reaches the people the other channels miss.

Where it sits on the card

Strongest away from the card: a vehicle, a yard sign, a printed quote, anywhere someone has a phone and a moment.

Questions people ask

Does the person pay to send the text?

It is an ordinary SMS from their phone, charged by their own plan. On most plans that is nothing.

Can I change the message later?

Yes. The wording and the number are both editable, and every already printed code picks up the change.

Does this work on an iPhone?

Yes. It opens Messages with the recipient and text filled in, the same as tapping a message link on a web page.
