Obsidian is as close to black as a card can go while still showing that someone chose it. A single diagonal highlight crosses the cover, which is the only thing separating it from a rectangle of nothing.

Who it suits

• Luxury goods, high-end property, private advisory
• Anyone whose brand is already monochrome
• Portfolios where the work supplies all the colour

What to pair with it

A black and white photograph, and a white or metallic logo. Colour of any kind becomes the loudest thing on the card.

When to pick something else

You need warmth in the first three seconds. Severity is the entire point of this one.
