How to send captured contacts to your CRM
Point the card’s webhook at a Zapier, Make or n8n catch hook, and have that tool create the record in your CRM. No code is needed, and the contact is stored here regardless of whether delivery succeeds.
Takes: About fifteen minutes
What Connects to What
The card posts each captured contact to one address you choose. Most CRMs will not accept that directly, and they do not need to: Zapier, Make and n8n all accept an incoming webhook and then create a record in whatever they connect to. That intermediate step is deliberate. One well-specified delivery that any of those tools can read beats a list of built-in connectors that is always missing the one you use.
Setting It Up
- 1
Create a catch hook in your automation tool
In Zapier it is "Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook". In Make it is a custom webhook. In n8n it is a Webhook node. Each gives you a URL.
- 2
Paste that URL into your card settings
Contacts, then delivery settings. Save it.
- 3
Store the signing secret where your tool can read it
It proves a delivery is genuine rather than forged. Keep it in the tool’s secret or environment storage, never pasted into a shared document or a support ticket.
- 4
Send a test contact
Open your own card and fill in the form. Your automation tool shows the payload, which is what you map fields from.
- 5
Map the fields to your CRM
Name, email, phone, company and message map to the obvious places. Map the card identifier too, if your CRM has somewhere for it: that is what later tells you which card produced which contact.
- 6
Turn it on and test once more
Test mode and live mode differ in most of these tools, and a mapping that worked in test can fail live on a required field.
What Happens When It Breaks
The contact is saved before any delivery is attempted, so a CRM outage cannot lose it. A failure is recorded against the contact so it can be retried, and the delivery settings screen shows that the webhook is failing. It is deliberately never shown to the visitor who filled in the form: they cannot do anything about it and they did nothing wrong. If a run of contacts was missed, the CSV export is the backstop.
If You Would Rather Not Automate
Every contact is stored and exportable as CSV, which every CRM can import. For a few contacts a month that is genuinely less work than maintaining an automation, and the data is yours either way.
Common questions
Do you have a direct HubSpot or Salesforce integration?
No. Contacts reach them through a webhook and an automation tool such as Zapier, Make or n8n, rather than a built-in connector.
Do I need to write code?
No. Zapier, Make and n8n all accept the webhook and create the CRM record without any code.
What happens if my CRM is down when someone fills in the form?
The contact is already saved here before delivery is attempted, and the failure is recorded so it can be retried. Nothing is lost.
